So what’s so special about this silver lip plate and riser? 

The specially shaped lip plate & riser gives the new, or returning player, the benefit of having an immediate & free blowing sound, especially in the lower tonal range. Plus, the ‘925’ silver delivers a warmer sound and an extended range of tonal possibilities.

But why is that important?

The lower notes are notoriously hard for new players as they involve most - if not all - keys being depressed. Therefore, the air stream is often right down at the bottom end of the flute. And this creates quite an ‘airflow’ challenge.

This ‘Shaped’ lip - unique to the TJ 10x - opens the lower register and makes it significantly easier to articulate these notes - and others too. As a result of this easier articulation, the student can also expect a great improvement in overall tone.
