Vandoren UK Announces Hannah Shilvock as New Vandoren Artist

Vandoren UK is delighted to welcome bass clarinet specialist and freelance clarinettist Hannah Shilvock to Vandoren’s artist roster.

Performing across the full clarinet family from E♭ clarinet to bass clarinet, Hannah is a recognised specialist who has established herself as a leading advocate for the bass clarinet as both a solo and chamber instrument. As a soloist, she has presented recitals throughout the UK, including performances at the Elgar Room, Royal Albert Hall, and appeared internationally in Ireland, Italy and Lanzarote, giving concertos, recitals and masterclasses.

Alongside her performing career, Hannah is a passionate educator and regularly leads clarinet workshops and masterclasses. She has worked with organisations including the Sheffield Clarinet Ensemble and Trinity Laban Conservatoire, where she has served as a guest departmental and orchestral rehearsal tutor for the past two years. Internationally, she has been invited to present bass clarinet masterclasses at the Clarinettomania Festival in Italy in both 2024 and 2025.

Beyond her musical work, Hannah is also a qualified yoga teacher based in Brighton, with a particular focus on supporting musicians and creatives. Holding a Vinyasa Yoga qualification, she has been teaching regularly for over three years, leading classes in Brighton, online, and at music events. She also delivers specialised Yoga for Musicians workshops, helping performers develop greater physical awareness, resilience and wellbeing alongside their musical practice.

As a freelance musician, Hannah has performed with a wide range of respected ensembles, including Brighton Philharmonic, London Concertante, Covent Garden Sinfonia and the Royal Opera House, demonstrating her versatility across orchestral, chamber and solo performance settings.

Having recently transitioned to Vandoren mouthpieces throughout her setup, Hannah joins the Vandoren family as both a performer and ambassador for the brand.
