The Lovely Laura chooses Yanagisawa (Yanagisawa Saxophones)

A highly talented jazz player, Laura is also a clubland sax legend. Her ability to send a crowd into a frenzy using her Yanagisawa A992 and indeed her own voice is becoming legendary. The global residency for Hed Kandi also places her in a league with some of the world's biggest Djs and Producers.

Having been invited to support Take That alongside Sophie Ellis Bextor, the Birtish saxophonist and singer/songwriter Laura Fowles (aka The Lovely Laura) has been working hard recording her latest soulful jazz album “Off The Ground”.

Laura has an incredibly busy schedule playing all over the world under the moniker of ‘The Lovely Laura’ for the global Clubland brand, Hed Kandi. She has secured her position as the most in demand saxophonist in clubland, working with the premier league of DJs and Producers. Laura can be found most summers in Ibiza, playing in the numerous world-famous clubs and party venues across the whilte isle.

Her ability to send a crowd into a frenzy is becoming legendary, and a quick glance at her fan’s comments on her own website and network pages confirm this. This talent and her incredible drive and ambition set Laura up as a permanent fixture of the world saxophone stage... and we’re very pleased to have her on board with Yanagisawa.

Antigua Wind Alto Sax - Antique Lacquer

Well established internationally, Antigua is the creation of American music teacher Fred Hoey, who during the earlier part of his career discovered much to his chagrin that there was no acceptable middle ground sax for his students, with inexpensive instruments lacking in quality and high end saxes well out of the reach of most pupils.

Just like any other educator, Hoey knew that the quality of the student’s instrument played a crucial role in their desire to continue learning - but most students were unable to afford the instruments that would have had this positive learning impact and given them the appropriate sense of achievement. To address this problem, Hoey decided to research and develop a range of instruments in conjunction with an established saxophone manufacturer. After a decade of testing, the Antigua Brand was born in 1991.
