Yanagisawa & Rico Artist Lovely Laura's Hed Kandi recording (Rico Reeds and Woodwind Acc)

Saxophonist and vocalist Laura Fowles A.K.A. The Lovely Laura and producer extraordinaire Tyrrell had their first collaborative album released at the end of the White Isle summer last year. Straight from the sunsets of Ibiza, Hed Kandi: Balearica Unplugged is a great antedote to the UK winter weather! They disconnected the decks, ditched the electronic beats and unplugged the sound system stripping things back creating a medley of deliciously unplugged covers of their favourite dance songs. Tyrrell picked up the six string, laid down some sensual acoustic guitar riffs and atmospheric chords, whilst Laura added a splash of soft, husky, phenomenal vocals and sexy sax melodies. This all combined with additional production by the legendary Steve Miller A.K.A. Afterlife, brings you a wide, laid back collection all reworked with Hed Kandi’s own Balearic acoustic treatment... always keeping a sunny disposition in mind.

This one CD includes their favourite renditions of songs made famous by the likes of Groove Armada, Calvin Harris, Deadmau5 & Kaskade, Friendly Fires, Empire Of The Sun and Martin Solvieg to name but a few. This essential eclectic collage of music is destined for Ibiza's renowned 'Sunset Strip' for years to come, where legendary Balearic hang out hotspots such as Café Del Mar, Savannah's or Blue Marlin celebrate the setting of the most talked about sunset, and Balearica Unplugged offers the perfect musical companion.

Laura also released her own debut album in August 2011, Off The Ground, following the highly acclaimed first single from the album, Baker Street, which Jazz FM's Peter Young described as "A very fitting tribute to the late Gerry Rafferty, I think it's absolutely marvellous..."

Laura will also be taking part in Jazz FM's live tour dates, performing at one of the weekly Discovery shows at Boisdale in Canary Wharf, on the 7th March.

Wherever and whenever you need it, the Shadow SH E-Tuner HB is always ready. Whether on stage, backstage, at rehearsal, in the studio, while practicing at home or jamming with friends . . . finally, electric guitars can be tuned with both perfect accuracy and lightening fast speed.

The Shadow SH E-Tuner HB responds quickly and precisely and – thanks to its chromatic functioning – allows for all conceivable alternate tunings, including open tunings. Its multicolored LEDs are unfailingly easy to read, even in very bright surroundings, and its operation – thanks to single-button turn-on and automatic shut-off – is entirely straightforward.

In addition, there is little reason to worry about battery life: with a maximum power usage of 6mA, a single button cell lasts through roughly 2000 tunings of approximately one minute each. This battery is located in the electronics compartment of the guitar within a protective shell (included with the device); replacement of the battery, when necessary, is a snap and can be accomplished in practically no time at all.
