Saxophones
Neckpipes
Until recently there was not a great awareness of the importance given to the saxophone crook and it was taken for granted that the crook that came with saxophone was the only one that would work. Yanagisawa began offering custom crooks in the mid 1970’s as an option to tailor the sound to your personal preference. At that time they offered four crooks. Today Yanagisawa crooks are available in a much wider range to suit any
preferences over a wide spectrum and are frequently used on both new and vintage saxophones. Apart from shaping the tonal characteristics of the saxophone they are used to improve intonation, thus eliminating the need to compensate for the inaccuracy of tuning.
